What you will need:

  • A device with a camera and microphone:

    • Desktop or laptop computer

    • Smartphone or tablet

  • A stable internet or network connection

How to join your Microsoft Teams consult

You have 3 ways to join:

Option 1: Join from a smartphone or tablet

  • Download the Microsoft Teams app from the App Store or Google Play (required for mobile devices).

  • Open the meeting link from your email or calendar.

  • Turn on your camera and microphone.  Allow audio and video.

  • Select “Join now.”

  • After joining, tap the microphone and camera icons on your screen to unmute yourself and turn your video on.

Option 2: Join on your computer (no download required)

  • Click the “Join the meeting” link in your email.

  • Choose “Continue on this browser.”

  • When prompted, click Allow to give your browser access to your camera and microphone.
  • Enter your name.

  • Choose your audio and video settings. You will need to allow audio and video.

  • Select “Join now.”

  • Once connected, make sure your microphone is unmuted and your camera is on by clicking the microphone and camera icons on your screen.

Option 3: Join using the Microsoft Teams app (optional on computer)

  • Click the meeting link in your email.

  • Download the Microsoft Teams app if prompted.

  • Open the app and join the meeting.

  • Turn on your camera and microphone. Allow audio and video.

  • Select “Join now.”

  • If you cannot be heard or seen, click the microphone and camera icons to unmute yourself and turn your video on.

When you join

  • After clicking “Join now,” it may take a few moments for the meeting to load. This is normal.
  • You may be placed in a virtual waiting room (lobby).

  • Our attorney will admit you shortly.

  • Please keep your camera on if possible for the best consult experience.

Helpful tips before you join

  • Please join 5 minutes early to test your camera, microphone, and internet connection.

  • Join from a quiet, private location where you can focus on the conversation.

  • If you cannot hear or be heard, check that the correct microphone and speaker are selected and that no Bluetooth devices or headphones are accidentally connected.
